Description
The original GURUS 1959 DoubleDecker earned praise from Premier Guitar, Guitar Player, and Vintage Guitar for nailing the feel of a cranked tube amp in pedal form. The MkII takes that concept and refines it based on years of player feedback, shrinking the footprint while expanding tonal control.
- Compact tube-powered build: at just 3.5″ x 5″, it’s one of the smallest dual pedals available that still runs a genuine Hi-Voltage (150-300V) tube preamp stage.
- Flexible routing: use it as a single pedal with one in/out, or split the two channels into separate loops on your switcher. The channel order can be reversed for different boost/stacking behavior.
- Two footswitches, dual channels: Floor1 and Floor2 can run independently or stack together, boosting each other for added gain and harmonic density.
- Distinct clipping per channel: Floor1 uses Germanium NOS diodes, capturing the soft, edge-of-breakup character of a tube amp just starting to push. Floor2 uses LED diodes in a symmetrical configuration for a smoother, more compressed lead voice.
- Up to 10 tonal combinations between the clipping switch and the four controls per channel.
