Description
The Noble Screamer solves a problem every pedalboard builder knows: you love the crunch of one overdrive and the clipping character of another, but you don’t want to dedicate two slots for it. Keeley built a single analog circuit that lets you mix and match the guts of two proven drive designs, plus two brand-new amp-like tones nobody else has offered, all controlled from an easy three-knob layout.
Two toggle switches do the heavy lifting behind the scenes. The Tone switch chooses between a wide-range ‘Spectrum’ EQ (OD position) that can push both treble and bass, or a Low Pass Filter (TS position) that simply rolls off the highs for a darker voice. The Clipping switch selects Hard Diode Clipping for an aggressive, cutting edge, or Soft Diode Clipping for a smoother, tube-like give. Combine the two switches and you’ve effectively got four distinct overdrive/boost circuits living in one enclosure — run it as a screaming lead boost, a warm amp-like push, or anything between.
Bypass switching is just as flexible. The Vitamin K Infused Buffer keeps your signal strong and pop-free when the pedal is off — ideal for long cable runs or crowded boards. Prefer the direct-to-amp feel? Hold the footswitch for two seconds and it silently flips to true bypass (LED flashes twice), or hold again to return to buffered (LED flashes three times). No re-patching, no audible click, just a quick stomp-and-hold.
- 4-in-1 overdrive and boost circuit, including two new amp-like hybrid tones
- Fully analog signal path
- Switchable buffered or true bypass, changed on the fly via footswitch hold
- Housed in a new proprietary aluminum enclosure, manufactured by RKFX in the USA
Designed and built in Oklahoma City, the Noble Screamer is Keeley’s first pedal in this newly fabricated case shape — a purpose-built platform for players who want more tonal territory without adding another box to the chain.
