The Align Active DI takes L.R. Baggs’ studio DI expertise and packs it into a pedalboard-ready box that stays out of the way of your tone. Its all-discrete circuitry keeps the signal path clean and honest, with enough headroom to handle everything from a quiet fingerstyle acoustic to a hotter piezo output without flinching or coloring the source.
Place it last in the chain and it becomes the bridge between your board and the house PA, offering both XLR and 1/4″ outputs so you can feed a snake and a monitor or amp simultaneously. The onboard pad tames a signal that’s too hot for the PA, while the ground lift switch quietly kills the hum and buzz that ground loops love to introduce on a crowded stage.
Phase inversion is on hand for fighting feedback and dialing in the best-sounding relationship between your pickup and the room, and a Thru/Out switch adds flexibility for how you route signal downstream. A mute footswitch lets you silence everything instantly — handy for guitar swaps or the gap between songs — without ever touching a cable.
