Description
The SP1-ND takes Mission Engineering’s flagship SP-1 chassis — long regarded as a benchmark for expression pedal feel and durability — and wires it specifically for the Neural DSP Quad Cortex. Rather than a generic expression controller you have to configure and hope works, this one is built to plug straight into the Quad Cortex’s dual expression inputs and behave predictably from the first stomp.
- Full-range, silky sweep for controlling wah, pitch, volume swells, filter sweeps, or any parameter you assign inside Quad Cortex’s blocks
- Connects to both expression inputs on the unit, so you can map two separate parameters or split control across your signal chain
- Integrated toe switch lets you snap effects on and off underfoot, no auxiliary footswitch or extra real estate on your board required
- Pro-grade build quality inherited from the SP-1, designed to hold up to nightly load-in/load-out abuse
For pedalboard builders running a Quad Cortex as their central rig, the SP1-ND removes a layer of complexity: one pedal, two expression jacks accounted for, and a toe switch that frees up a slot you’d otherwise need for a separate A/B or bypass switch. Whether you’re riding a wah curve into a saturated lead tone or automating a slow filter sweep under ambient textures, the sweep stays smooth and consistent rather than jumpy or stepped.
Simple in concept, precise in execution — it’s the expression pedal Mission Engineering built specifically so Quad Cortex users stop fighting compatibility and start shaping tone with their feet.
