Mojo Hand hand-selects a pairing of germanium and silicon transistors, then adds an internal bias trim so you can dial the gain character to taste and sidestep the temperature drift and instability that plague old-school germanium circuits. Roll back your guitar’s volume and the Crosstown blooms into surprisingly clean, fat tones even at aggressive gain settings, with note definition that holds together instead of collapsing into mush.
Beyond the standard GAIN and VOLUME knobs, two extra controls give you real EQ authority over the fuzz stage. TONE sweeps the treble response from warm and creamy to bright and sizzling, while BODY shapes the low end feeding into the fuzz circuit u2014 crank it for thick, wooly bass, or back it off for a smoother, tighter feel. That BODY control also means the Crosstown adapts readily to both single-coil and humbucker guitars, so it slots into more pedalboards than a typical Fuzz Face clone.
