The M293 Mini Booster takes two pieces of MXR/Dunlop lineage — the front-end voicing of the Dunlop Echoplex preamp and the raw gain structure of the MXR Micro Amp — and packs them into a mini enclosure built for crowded boards.
- Up to +26dB of clean gain via the Volume knob, enough headroom to shove a clean amp right into natural breakup
- Onboard Tone control to add sparkle or dial back harshness on the top end
- Works solo as an always-on EQ and level boost for solos or rhythm-to-lead jumps
Run it as your sole boost/EQ utility and it earns its spot just for cleaning up or sharpening your core tone. But its real trick shows up when you place it in front of a fuzz or overdrive: the Booster’s gain and tone shaping interact with those pedals to unlock textures and harmonics your dirt box alone won’t reach. For tone-stackers building layered, dynamic drive chains, this is a small pedal with outsized influence.
